Spun Buns Angora Rabbits

Available ~ Artisan (handspun) yarns
A very soft 100% angora yarn. Two ply, hand dyed and hand spun. Approximately DK weight (13 WPI) with 64 total yards.
Angora is super warm (around 8x warmer than the same weight of sheep's wool) and develops a lovely halo when knit. Great for trimwork, or anywhere you want a lovely angora accent in your piece.
$22 plus shipping.

Angora is one of my favorite fibers to work with, so I always have something new going on either in 100% angora or a blend of other fiber with it.
A beautiful "Him & Her" blend from my first pair of bunnies. White fiber from Rosey was blended 50/50 with pink merino wool. Silver fiber from Riddle was blended 60/40 with a superwash merino and alpaca blend. The final singles were plied to make a balanced two ply yarn that is soft and warm. Approximately worsted weight and mostly uniform thickness. Total of 202 yards makes this a hefty skein for a lot of uses.
$45 plus shipping.

Soft merino, alpaca, and angora rabbit fibers combine with irridescent glass beads to create a beautiful effect. Like droplets of dew, these beads are arranged randomly throughout the skein. A super soft handspun artisan yarn with beads and a bit of angora halo. Total of 90 yards - approximately DK weight and 12 WPI.
$27 plus shipping.

Handpainted Falkland wool. Handspun into a low twist single and slightly fulled to provide strength. Soft and beautiful! There is some interest here with a few thick 'n' thin spots, but it's mainly very uniform. This should knit up into something very light and interesting. Nice muted shades of blue, green, mauve, burgundy, and purple. Approximately a light worsted weight yarn. Two skeins available. First skein is 202 yards for $20. Second skein is 168 yards for $18. Shipping is additional.

Artisan, as defined by Wikipedia:
"An artisan is a skilled manual worker who makes items that may be functional or strictly decorative, including furniture, clothing, jewelry, household items, and tools. The term can also be used as an adjective to refer to the craft of hand making food products, such as bread, beverages and cheese.
Manufacture by hand, and with hand tools, imparts unique and individual qualities to artisanal products, in contrast to mass produced goods where every one is nearly identical."
As you probably already know, hand spun and hand dyed yarns are completely unique when compared to the complete uniformity of commercial yarns. While commercial yarn has it's place, hand spun yarns fill a creative and beautiful niche that commercial mills cannot duplicate.
