Spun Buns Angora Rabbits
&
Baby bunnies are not available to go to their new homes until they are weaned between 8 and 10 weeks of age. I reserve the right to hold onto a litter for a while longer if I need a bit more time to consider my decision. I may want to retain an entire litter (or part of one) to evaluate their growth further.

The heat of summer makes breeding angoras more difficult (not to mention dangerous), so I usually consider breeding season to be from fall to early summer. I will update this page as litters are born and become available.

Available Bunnies ~
Recently Kindled Litters, Juniors/Weaned Babies, & Adult Rabbits
Thank you for your interest in my available rabbits. I keep this page current and usually update pictures of junior rabbits every week or two.

Verbal holds are good for two weeks. I must receive a non-refundable deposit from you within those two weeks to keep the animal on hold for you. If the deposit isn't received in that amount of time the animal may be offered to the next interested person.

Below you will find a brief outline of the terms I use for describing the status of rabbits.

Available - This rabbit is available for purchase.
Available as a Wooler - This rabbit has a white spot, white hairs, white nails, or another characteristic that makes it unable to register with IAGARB. They make fantastic wooler bunnies...often rivaling their siblings with their wool production. No pedigree is included & these bunnies are offered at a discounted price for those looking for spinner's companions or pets.
Reserved - Rabbit has been reserved and a deposit has been received to hold it.
Reserved (pending deposit) - Rabbit has been reserved verbally. I am still waiting for a deposit.
Retained - This rabbit is not currently for sale and I am holding onto it for further evaluation, or that animal is my pick from the litter. Sometimes animals held will be available for sale later.

Please let me know your ability to pickup the rabbit/s you are interested in within a timely fashion. If you live far away, and distance or weather might necessitate a pickup more than two weeks after the animal is ready to go, we will work out a boarding arrangement. My usual fee is $2-3 per week, depending upon the age of the rabbit and if anything other than routine feeding/watering/cleaning is required while the animal stays in my care. Usually, I can hold an animal for a couple weeks without a problem. If cage space becomes an issue, or you cannot come to get the rabbit within two weeks, then we can work out something that works for both parties.

Deposits are requested to determine serious intent to buy any animal. The deposit is small, and non-refundable, so please be sure you are certain before committing to purchase and sending in your deposit.

Angora rabbits require more care than short-haired rabbits. Please do not inquire about buying one unless you are willing and able to commit to grooming and care of a rabbit for up to 10 years or more. Germans do have very sweet dispositions, however, they are not a suitable pet for kids. I say this as a generalization, for the animal's sake, since children can loose interest quickly and the animal will suffer for it.

Thank you for visiting my site and please contact me if you have any questions or wish to reserve an available rabbit.
Upcoming Litters
I don't breed to push babies out into the market indiscriminantly. I breed for specific purposes, and to work on some goals I have set for my barn. If you're interested in something specific please contact me and we can talk. There is a waiting list most of the time for my animals.
None at this time.

Purebred German Litter
Kindled: 11/26/11
Sire: CT's Klondike - IAGARB Wool Tested
Dam: Spun Buns' Twilight (Black)

Twilight kindled a litter of five large kits the day after
Thanksgiving. There are two REW does and two black self bucks. Unfortunately we lost a chocolate agouti. That means, however, that these kits might be carriers of the chocolate gene.

Nice crimp already showing on these 12 week old kits and I'm impressed with how they are coming along. Pictures were taken at about 6 weeks of age. The spot free black buck is reserved, but the other three are still available. Nice bodies on these babies!

Sire: Spun Buns' Perseus (Agouti)
Dam: Spun Buns' Twilight (Black)

Twilight had three very large babies. There is one REW,
1 agouti, and 1 agouti with a forehead blaze. These are some of the first babies from Perseus. He is a gorgeous buck so I am looking forward to seeing how his offspring mature.

Sire: Raspberry Farm's Oscar - IAGARB Registered
Dam: Bungalow Farm's Odessa (Black) IAGARB Registered

Odessa has an amazing litter of babies. She kindled a very
large and uniform litter. There are two REW, three clean agouti, and two lynx kits. I will be keeping the lynx buck. The lynx doe unfortunately has a thin forehead blaze and will be available as a wooler.

Purebred German litter.

Sire: Spun Buns' Perseus (Agouti)
Dam: Spun Buns' Pashmina

Pashmina is a large and very sweet doe. Perseus is a gorgeous
buck who has very dense and crimpy fiber. This is Pashmina's
first litter and she lost some babies in the beginning. She has
three left and they are doing very well. She has two REW and
a nice agouti. She has turned into a wonderful mother.
