The tortoiseshell color pattern arrives when a self (solid) colored rabbit has two non-extension "e" genes. This causes the color to not fully extend up the hair shaft and results in an orange coloration with shading along the sides and on the face and ears. So, a black self rabbit with "ee" would be a black tort. A chocolate self rabbit with "ee" would be a chocolate tort. And so on.
This is a black tort with a lot of rufus modifiers that cause her orange coloration to be quite vibrant.
